0806Y00C5NPigeonhed are great and demand your respect and money. Coming on like some
0801Nwierd soul / trip-hop crossover probably is'nt the best thing to want to do.
0801NSoul and trip-hop being the most ABUSED forms of commercial music ever.
0801NImagine Mariah Carey fronting the Sneaker Pimps - enough to make you want to
0801Nhurl isn't it?.
0801N
0801NThis album sort of covers new ground by NOT sounding like Portishead but
0801Ncrap. Pigeonhed take the time to mix in sick sounding analogue squidges,
0801Ngospel singing, overly high pitched soulboy warbling, a bunch of hip hop
0801Nbreaks and messed up Beck style blues rapmumbles. And they use something
0801Ncalled a B-3 and another something called an Optigan, which both sound pretty
0801Ncool, whatever the fuck they are.
0801N
0801NOh yeah: And don't write in all pissed off about my lack of respect for the
0801NSneaker Pimps, I said they were cool in Issue 3 fair enough. But that was
0801Nbefore I'd heard any of their records.
